Lab data
Tropicana Cherry potency: THC, CBD and terpenes from 265 lab tests
In 265 state lab tests, Tropicana Cherry flower had a median total THC of 17.98%, with the middle half of results between 15.63% and 20.08%.1 CBD is negligible, and β-caryophyllene leads the terpenes, as Leafly also reports.1,2

How published THC figures compare
Strain databases and the breeder publish a single figure or a range: Leafly lists 25% THC, AllBud 16–21% and Relentless Genetics an average of 16–24%.2,3,4 Sellers range further: Barney’s Farm advertises 28% for its seed version and Maine’s JAR Cannabis lists 25–28% for its Tropicana Cherries, while Hypno Seeds says up to 20% and Blimburn Seeds 19–21%.5,6,7,8 In state lab results, 90% of Tropicana Cherry flower tested below 21.92% and only 3.0% reached 25%, so the 25–28% claims describe the top of the range rather than typical flower; the highest single result was 28.93%.1
By state, Nevada’s 51 results ran lowest, at a 15.05% median, and Maryland’s 53 highest, at 18.33%. In the two years with the most tests, the median was 18.03% in 2022 (138 tests) and 17.39% in 2023 (93).1 Published terpene lists agree with our panels on caryophyllene and limonene; Maryland’s Curio Wellness also names myrcene among the dominant three, but β-myrcene has a median of 0.00% in the 61 panels here.1,2,9

Limits of this data
- Coverage is uneven. Michigan (131), Maryland (53), Nevada (51), Colorado (21) supply most of the 265 tests, which date from 2020 to 2024; Oregon and Rhode Island results carry no product names and could not be matched.
- Some labs report higher THC than others, so we publish medians and middle ranges rather than maxima. No single lab accounts for more than 16.2% of these tests (25 labs in total).
- Terpene medians come from 61 tests with individual terpene values, 51 of them from Nevada labs. Maryland reports only total terpenes (50 tests), and the Michigan, Washington and California tests carry none.
- We matched names strictly: “Tropicana Cherry” and “Trop Cherry” count, while brand-prefixed names, misspellings and crosses (for example “OCal Tropicana Cherry”) are excluded and counted, and duplicate certificates are removed.
